Glee-er than you

Three unspoilery things about Glee that I liked:

1. CHRIS COLFER OH MY GOD HOW ARE YOU GETTING EVEN BETTER.

2. Brittany. And Sue.

3. Mike Cheng is fucking HOT.

Three spoilery things about Glee that I liked and three that I didn't. )

Glee 2x03

Dear Chris Colfer,

Nothing on TV has ever made me cry so hard like you just did. You are truly one of the most gifted actors of this generation. You deserve every award they could possibly give you.

In honest awe,

Moonay

The rest of the episode was utter shit. No love, Ryan Murphy. No love.

Croaky links!

And by "croaky" I do mean my lazy ass.

1. The Emmy nominations came out yesterday.

Lots of extremely pleasant surprises! "True Blood" for best drama! Chris Colfer for "Glee"*! Mike O'Malley for "Glee"! Connie Britton and Kyle Chandler (aka THE TAYLORS BOW DOWN BITCHES) for "Friday Night Lights"! John Slattery for "Mad Men"! Christina Hendricks for "Mad Men"!

Also not-so-pleasant issues: January Jones was nominated for being useless on "Mad Men", "Community" didn't get a single nomination (and even I, from the little I saw, knew that there was Emmy-worthy material there), ASkars and Nelsan Ellis weren't nominated (despite the fact they are currently the undisputed MVPs of "True Blood").

And in a fantastic show of "FUCK YOU" to Jay Leno, Conan O'Brien's "Tonight Show" got four nominations, while his got none.

* - Colfer was nominated in the comedy category, which, YIKES. His role was one of the most dramatic supporting roles this season. He'll never win until he gets nominated in the category he should be in.

2. The Federal District Court of Massachusetts ruled DoMA to be unconstitutional.

And not a minute too soon, you guys. Not a minute too soon. Here's hoping Obama won't barter a Justice Department appeal for something.

3. Fun little article about this golden age of late night comedy and political satire.

It makes good points too. Someone has to be the sane polar of Fox News, after all. For me, it goes hand-in-hand with the AWESOME comeback of 'Even Stepvhen' this week on The Colbert Report. :)

And now, your moment of Zen: Here's what happens when ASkars gets SLOSHED.

Gleeing

I don't have a lot of thoughts about tonight's episode but these two:

Dear Lea Michele,

That was my favourite performance of yours. Ever.

You think about that.

Smirk,

Moonay

--

Dear Chris Colfer,

You're usually my favourite actor of the whole bunch, but tonight?

Tonight I bawled.

If you don't get an Emmy nod at the very least, I will gladly abandon this show and hope you get better acting gigs that give you full respect in the future, because darling, you are one talented motherfucker.

Love love love,

Moonay
