Supernatural 6x01 - really long name I don't remember
Two spoilery reactions:
1. What she said. She whose face I hate.
2. Okay, so in a scale between 1 to In My Time Of Dying, this rated just a little higher than The Magnificent Seven. This is mostly because I love Mitch Pileggi way way more than what they did to Samuel Campbell just now.
But let me just say, Jensen Ackles is one pretty motherfucker, and it's not at all fair that him doing regular chores and/or going about his day as Dean Winchester should be such eye porn. Seriously. How is this dude human?
That said, LOL Sam Winchester. You and your adorable car into which YOU DON'T FIT. Tiny sportscars and 6'5'' giants are things that don't go together. There's a reason why tiny men who feel like they need to compensate own them. That said, I appreciate the idea that Sam's version of the Impala would be a far smarter, newer, faster car. And that is because Sam Winchester, in the past 5 seasons, has transformed from an angry young college dude into a MACHINE.
Ahhhh, now I get the anvil. Sam is S1 Dean. Dean is S1 Sam. OW, ANVIL. OW.
Lisa and Ben. *siiiiiigh* No. Just no. Are you seriously telling me that Dean would prefer a year of PTSD battles with two people he barely knows, trying to fit into society's expectations, than fighting for the one brother he loves, he misses and who, oh yeah, IS HIS SOULMATE? WTF, SERA GAMBLE. WTF.
The three Whatever Cousins are boring, overplayed and over-acted. Move on.
And Samuel Campbell is, woah, bad news. MITCH PILEGGI I LOVE YOU!
Also Fred Lehne. YED is always welcome. :D
Djinns? Oh, whatever. Way to ruin a good MotW. I'm not buying it, Gamble.
In conclusion, this had better be the engines revving, assholes. Otherwise, not even Jensen Ackles' ridiculous fucking face is going to save this show.

That said, Jensen doesn't just deserve an Emmy, he deserves a fuckin' medal for acting his heart out in this crap - and for just a moment, in Bobby's place, making you actually feel that year of pain we're told about ad nauseum.

I think Dean staying with Ben and Lisa at the end was out of guilt. To be with them for a year, and say kthxbye going-with-my-brother-who-is-back-from-the-dead, kinda would have been a slap in the face.
After S5, a set-up episode is difficult so here's hoping they're trying to find their feet, and quickly.
