Ah, Rosh Hashana is upon us again. Probably one of the Jewish holidays I hate the most. It's not like it's
really a new year, I'd take the Silvester over it any day. It's just another excuse to have another excruciating family gathering where nobody has anything to talk about so everybody stuff themselves with food like turkeys. Tomorrow and the day after it I'm participating in 2 big dinners which can probably feed a whole army, though the second one is far better and I can read peacefully in between courses. I don't know if I'm going to be online the next few days, so I'll probably miss a lot of things, and my inboxes will exceed their storage limits yet again.
Anyway, since I'm in such a "festive" mood, I shall do a Rosh Hashana picspam! Yay!
There's an old saying in Hebrew about the new year: "May you'll be head and not tail". It refers to the custom of eating fish on Rosh Hashana, and for some strange reason it seems that having to eat a brain of a fish is much better than eating its tail (yeah right, like anyone would really wanna eat any of them). Lets see if I can use that saying in my picspam, shall we? ;)
( And much bitching ensue... )Everyone hug
fyrie because she finished today her "Chronicles of Lucius" series! :D
And also, happy Rosh Hashana to all. May this year be sweeter and luckier than last year.
*kisses everyone*
