Issues Potter-related

nimori's latest Harry/Lucius post
H/L is for Harry/Lucius or Hideously Low on inspiration?
Do you remember how this ship was during the days of CoS and after? I don't think the "Beloved Enemies" withstood the huge tzunami of fics it got at the time. Dozens and dozens of fics of various kinds, from BDSM-y Non Con to More Than Nauseating fluff with Mpreg on the side. Bottom line is that this ship used to be fun. We had a gorgeous blond Death Eater making sweet sweet sweaty sex with a luscious (haha! get my bad phrase turning?) dark haired angsty teenager who frequently was also in bed with Draco. But only frequently. Because why go for the Demi God when you could get the whole thing, as a H/L fic once said. And now? Hey, we're lucky if we get a good Harry/Draco novel-length fic. What's up with it people? Are the Malfoys not enough sex material for you anymore? What could possibly be better about Sirius/Regulus?
Ahem. Anyway, I do hope it gets better after GoF, even if it does make some of you people admit it's Jason Isaacs who fuels the ship, and not the Lucius from the books. (although in my honest opinion, the Lucius from OotP is a much more intriguing character than it used to be)
The battle for slash begins
Steve Kloves is out of the Potter team by the next movie. They say Michael Goldenberg, who wrote the script for "Peter Pan" is doing OotP. There's something really exciting about this, and not only because we can now freely say "Steve Kloves is BAD and we LOVE it that he's gone!" to WB people (WB stands for We Bullies). Peter Pan was a wonderful script. It was subtle, it had small jokes, it had wonderful characterization and pacing. Oooooooo I want to see what he does with Sirius. And Harry. And maybe this time Hermione won't be such a dominant figure over Ron in the trio, and maybe the Harry/Hermione vibes will finally disappear. (I'm sorry, but this pairing really isn't canon anymore IMHO, much though it saddens me)And most of all - SLASH! I wonder who'll be the slashiest character in OotP; will it be Lucius (Goldenberg being familiar with Isaacs's silver screen persona) or maybe Sirius, or perhaps Remus. Maybe even Harry or Dudley, what with the famous "Who's Cedric? Your boyfriend?" line. ;D
"Sorry Mr. Black, from now on you have to be a stripper in order to earn your living, so decreeth the High Counsel of Fangirls"
So yeah, Sirius Black: Disowned or not?
On one hand he denied the Death Eater route, and ran away from home. On the other hand he is the oldest Black male of the younger generation, thus the rightful heir. Is he still more worth the money than good ol' idiotic Regulus? Did he make all the money he had from working in whatever he worked after Hogwarts? From where did he have enough money to give Harry a Firebolt after 13 years in Azkaban, even if it is 13 years worth of birthday presents? What did he do, wash Dementor robes in Azkaban's prison laundry?
And lastly - Did you hear that the actress who does Andromache in 'Troy' and Aunt Petunia's actress are a couple who live together? Doesn't this rule on so many levels? :D (thanks for the tip
tmcado! *schnugs*)
Btw, thanks for everyone who wished well for my grandpa. He's passed the surgery successfully. :)
