1. THEREFORE, I, BARACK OBAMA, President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim June 2009 as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Pride Month. I call upon the people of the United States to turn back discrimination and prejudice everywhere it exists.
Granted, it's a little late for California, and that is a sore thumb for a lot of people. However, at least he has the right attitude about it, unlike his predecessor, who, more than likely, would've reacted to gays like Mel Brooks as Rabbai Tuckman in Men In Tights did. ("faygales?")
2. "So, 'Star Trek', we saw this weekend, which I thought was good. Everybody was saying I was Spock, so I figured I should check it out and - [the president makes the Vulcan salute with his hand]"

Afterwards in the interview, he gushes about how he used to watch TOS as a kid. President was a mini Trekker!
And then he meets Zachary Quinto AND I PEE MYSELF WITH GLEE.
3. In which the Obamas are cooler than thou. And by "thou" I do mean Jon Stewart:
Oh yeah, and he nominated a Hispanic woman for the Supreme Court. I have to say, he's still shiny to me. :)
