Wow, for the crash and fucking burn, Amazon

I'm trying to rationalize this from a marketing point of view, and the only reason for this kind of asshattery I'm coming up with is Amazon trying to cater for the ultra-conservatives. Who, I'm sure, buy more books than the gay community (or erotica-reading community in general), especially during the recession. Sure. Low on your Bible sales there, Asshat Douche Com? Because I, for one, am going to start buying my books at your competitors from now on.

There's something so ironic in these news, since Amazon first started as the world's biggest online bookstore, making books available to all parts of the world. How far they went from being that store now.

I am still leery of amazon because of this (http://shakespearessister.blogspot.com/2009/02/looking-for-rape-products-try-amazon.html).

So now they are 'excluding' books with gay content in the same way they 'exclude' books with rape content? That is fucked up in so many ways.
