NOW THAT'S MORE LIKE IT, SHOW.
YES. THAT WAS A WHOLE LOTTA YES RIGHT THERE.
1. We Know What Is Wrong With You, Sam! (Or Do We?): Sam Winchester is one soul short of being a Sammich (and one curling iron short of sporting a Breck Girl). Hopefully, at least. Because if he's a soul short, it means he's made a deal with someone to get him out of hell for the price of his soul. This, of course, means he either doesn't know who has it (or doesn't remember), or he does and he's still lying like a lying thing to Dean. And by "thing", I do mean thing. SAM WINCHESTER ISN'T HUMAN! \O/
Oh wait. We've only known that since season 2.
2. Dean: Oh, KUDOS, Jensen Ackles. I enjoy that thing you do with the acting and your face being your face on my tv. You were especially pretty from the point you got hit with VeritasPotion. I just enjoy having you on my tv. Please continue to do that in the future!
3. VeritasPotion: Was fucking AWESOME. You know why she was awesome? Well, for one thing, the first time you truly notice her, she's on the dentist's tv, and I thought she was Rachel Maddow. And then I thought "yay! Show is finally paying tribute to the one woman on tv who rocks The Dean as much as Dean does!"
NEVERMIND THAT.
So anyway, secondly, I liked her because she was a really good MotW. I'm all about Ancient Greek goddesses, and that had to be one, and I'm all aflaily! Plus, she was a really decent actress who totally rocked the non-human speech patterns and YAY. Also, the CGI helped me (at least) detach the "Oh Show, killing horrible flesh-eating monsters again!" from the "oh show, killing women again...". So yeah, I'm fine with that.
(4. Where was Severus Snape, I ask you. I half expected him to storm into Dean's motel room, yelling about thieves and Umbridge and that damn Harry Potter.)
5. LISA IS GONE. OH GOD, FINALLY. Don't get me wrong. Lisa ended up being a decent female character and the actress was not half bad and really, if it weren't so wildly OOC for Dean to live with her and her creepy little mini-Dean, I would've sighed a little. But mostly I'm just grateful that horribly forced storyline has finally reached a nice, uneventful ending. Lisa, of course, was saying the truth about Dean getting wrapped up in Sam again, but what she missed was the fact that Dean and Sam are soulmates who are erotically codependent and will end up going to heaven together again one day. HOLA, WINCEST.
6. Other Episode References List: Simon Said (the first suicide), It's The Great Pumpkin Sam Winchester (the hex box), Metamorphosis (beautifully shadowy angsty brother fights with Sam believing he's becoming a better hunter when he's actually losing his damn mind).
7. BOBBY! \O/ Bobby is just so delightful this season. I now truly appreciate AWaB, because all I could think of was "aw, he's now going to spend another full night of reading just for a 5 minute talk with Dean", although now we can add to that "while watching Tori Spelling (And secretly probably loving Zach Quinto)".
8. CASTIEL! NOT ENOUGH CASTIEL YET AGAIN, SHOW. WHERE IS MY MISHA FIX. He's being all enigmatic and foreshadowy again. I love the angsty little camera angles on him and Dean (I'm sure all the shippers loved it too), but I NEED MOAR CASTIEL, DAMMIT. Him pouring Dean more booze was hilarious. OH, CASTIEL. YOU DO KNOW YOUR CROWD.
9. A LOT BETTER, SHOW. Continue like that, and I might just ignore, oh, I dunno, 4 of the last 5 episodes.
