Ick. What a nasty cold I have. I've been sneezing, sniffling and coughing nonstop these last couple of days. Goes without saying that singing was out of the question, not to mention going out of my house. I have been to RotK for the third time last Friday with a friend, but I didn't go out of my house much more than that.
Ah, RotK. Viggo's voice is still annoying, Legolas is still extremely pretty. Faramir is utterly cute, and terribly terribly sexy when he's oiled and unconscious. Hee. My increasingly two favourite scenes are Legolas and Aragorn's conversation the night Pippin looks at the palantir, and Gandalf's riding to defend the Gondorean guard, chasing the Nazgul away with his luminous staff. So beautiful. What totally wrenched my heart away this time around was the music. Oh my god, I thought it couldn't get any better, but Howard Shore just keeps, well, trascending to other levels with his musical interpretation. It's amazing to hear. IMHO, one of the main reasons everyone is so raving about this movie is the music. It just gives such depth, such another lively dimention to the plot and characters and atmosphere, it's unbelievable. Not to say, perchance, that the soundtracks for FotR and TTT weren't masterpieces all by themselves, but rather that this time around Shore hits the target so precisely, it's breathtaking to hear and see.
Also, Eomer is ugly.
Been toying with the evaluation version of Paint Shop Pro 8, and Jasc's Animation Shop. What a couple of nifty softwares! Much nicer to deal with than Photoshop IMO. Am making myself a new mood theme because it fun and I'm sick so I'm bored. It's comprised of the Harry Potter, LotR, PotC movies, also the LotR cast, Linkin Park, Jason Isaacs(duh), Orlando Bloom (DUH) and Alan Rickman (DUHDUH). Also there's one theme only avadriel will get, but nevermind. ;) What's scary is that out of the 130 images I needed for the mood themes, at least 80 suitable ones were taken from my own selection of photos. Very scary indeed. Hm.
Oh well. Nighty night lover-people! :D
EDIT: Oy! fyrie!
siriaeve!
collie! IT'S OFFICIAL! THEY'RE DOING IT THIS SUMMER!
Up for a trip to London, babydolls? :DDDDDDDD

Date: 2004-01-04 10:41 pm (UTC)Well. At least that means more for myself. :DDD
Also, I completely agree about Howard Shore. I tear up every time I listen to the ROTK soundtrack. The other two were beautiful too, but the ROTK music moves me even more.

Date: 2004-01-05 08:07 pm (UTC)Yes, it makes sense that the EE trilogy screenings will be next year, but that way they'll miss the entire after-RotK momentum. So......

My increasingly two favourite scenes are Legolas and Aragorn's conversation the night Pippin looks at the palantir, and Gandalf's riding to defend the Gondorean guard, chasing the Nazgul away with his luminous staff.
Hahah.
ARAGORN walks out onto the balcony and sees a cloaked figure.
ARAGORN: Ho hum. I wonder if she's soliciting?
ARAGORN walks over to the cloaked figure.
ARAGORN: Hey there, sweetie.
ARAGORN moves to put his hand on the cloaked figure's butt. LEGOLAS turns around.
ARAGORN hurriedly takes a step back.
LEGOLAS: Sauron's Eye is moving.
ARAGORN: Wha? Oh, right. What do your elf eyes see?
LEGOLAS: ...it's here.

Agreed.
Also, Eomer is ugly.
But while Eomer is ugly with his straggly blond hair, Karl Urban with dark hair is so so pretty.

I don't think he's ooglee, but I think he always looks pissy about something. heheh. Kind of like stone-faced Legolas, except at the end with his tiara, in which case he has the look of a man perpetually having a sexual afterglow. Ooo.
And, dude, oh god. The bit with Gandalf's staff staving off the Nazgul always wrenches my heart, man, it never fails! I adore the music for it and everything, utter perfection. Another part just like that is at the end when Sam falls down and Frodo begins crawling up Mt. Doom.. omfg.. *chin quivers madly*.. the music, the moment, the Frodo!
*drowns in tears*
*thinks of slippery-when-wet Faramir and is revived*
And I hope your eeeeville cold goes away! *brandishes shiney staff* On the bright side, I have one too, so we can still make out and not have to worry about getting sick 'cos we already are! Hoohah! *score*
