I don't really give a shit about the Olympics this time, but hearing about tourists getting stabbed even though Beijing is a fortress right now is not funny. (and by the way, in 20 years we're going to hear stories about exactly how awful the pressure was on Chinese athletes, and it's probably going to sound a lot like Eastern Europe in the 80s)

Neither is the fact that 2000 people have died in Georgia in the past couple of days, and probably more now.

And oh man, Bernie Mac. I LOVED him in "Ocean's 11" and "Ocean's 13". He was hilarious.

By the way, I'd watch out for Mauritania, because they just had a cru.

There's apparently a backlash of fangirls with her latest book. My dimples reference is about when I started reading the books for laughs, found out that I couldn't stop reading them even when it wasn't funny anymore and said that Jared's dimples were crying. :)
