So I saw "A Dangerous Method" tonight, aka That Movie With Viggo, Sharkbender and Jaw Knightley.

My spoilers are full of penis )

1. I've been listening nonstop to Florence and The Machine's "Ceremonials" (the deluxe version with the 4 extra songs) all week, only to come to the conclusion that it has no real outstanding song like "Lungs" had in "Cosmic Love" (one of the best songs of the decade, unquestionably), but that is a lot because the vast majority of "Ceremonials" is fucking STUNNING. Despite the deep and obvious influences the album draws from the 80s and 90s (particularly Björk and new-age rock), it transcends them into a uniquely Florence Welch scent sound. :D Which is to say, SHE IS JUST SO FUCKING AWESOME, YOU GUYS. Ugh I love her theatricality.

2. One of Jared Padalecki's dogs died today. Sadness that anyone would lose a beloved pet. I've seen it happen way too many times in the last few months.

3. Dustin Rowles discusses why Ryan Reynolds is not a leading man, and what makes a leading man in general. This is a much preferable article to the one he wrote before that, about how he wishes well for a bunch of douchebag actors who didn't particularly deserve their big portfolio to begin with. Ryan Reynolds is a good dude by the sound of it, but he is about as charismatic a leading man as John Slattery is. Which is to say, he is the perfect actor for supporting, scene-stealing roles, but not for the heavy lifting. However, Hollywood has apparently been experiencing a shortage of American leading men who are manly (RARRRRR! MANLY!), and had to resort to those pesky Brits, Aussies and Canadians for testosterone in target demographic age. Which is total bullshit, of course, but the point about Ryan Reynolds is well-made.

4. This happened:

And then the internet collapsed upon itself AND WAS NO MORE. Or at least tumblr did.

So here's the deal: I've kinda fallen in love with Pajiba.com. It looks like the website ONTDers go to during recess, with all the pop-culture whoring, Twilight bitching, JGL-obsessing commentary one could ever need (whilst ONTD is on recess).

So here are my 8 favorite Pajiba-shaped blog things (considering I'm going through Dustin Rowles' archive):

1. This unaccountably harsh review for 'Abduction' - I mean, honestly, what were you expecting of this movie? It makes "Payback" look like a work of art. But Dustin Rowles needs to drive the point home for all the Twihards who didn't get the clue, and in the process writes, wow, some bitter nasty shit. It's kind of marvelous, y'all.

2. Pajiba's 10 Most Bangable Celebrities On The Planet List - and for once, I agree with this kind of list. I agree A LOT.

3. Dance, MotherF**cker, Dance: Pop Culture's 20 Greatest Dancing GIFs - Pure, giffy enjoyment. :D

4. What Celebrities Would You Cast in a Muppet Lookalike Movie? - OF COURSE IT HAS KERMIT BALE.

5. Of These 15 Images, Which 3 Are NOT Michael Sheen? - A fabulous little homage for one of the (deservedly) busiest actors in the industry.

6. The Five Blandest Actors in Hollywood - I have two words for you: A diversion.

7. Looking back at '10 Things I Hate About You' from a female perspective - I agree with basically everything this woman wrote.

8. And since I've mentioned him, here's a JGL post roundup, because an obsession should always be encouraged: JGL turns 30, your crush is no longer pervy, JGL is cast in TDKR, Dustin Rowles lets loose the fangirl in him, TDKR full-cast (that we know of) pictorial (you bet your ass I enjoyed the fact they put Tom Hardy's pic right above his)

Yay! Now I can clean my browser and stop pretending I did this post for anyone else but myself!
