I know everyone's talking about the royal wedding today, so blah blah crazy hats Diana they're cute blah blah. THERE. DONE.

I went to see "Jane Eyre" today, and people, it's GOOD. IT'S REALLY REALLY GOOD.

I'm not a big Bronte fan, but I gotta say, this movie was wonderful and delightful to watch, giving the book a frankly interesting twist. It's a helluva lot better than the Zeffirelli version at any rate.

But what has really struck me about this movie is that I finally understand the hype about Michael Fassbender, to the point of actually considering watching that surely-atrocious X-Men movie he's in, simply for the excruciatingly hot factor of slashing him as Magneto with James McAvoy's Professor Xavier. It will be SUCH A BATTLE OF KILLER BLUE EYES, you guys. :D

Anyhoo. FASSBENDER. He is HOT. HOTTER THAN HOT. ESPECIALLY in Jane Eyre (though I've come to realize since that he's also been my favorite Spartan in "300" as well). He's got this whole Jon Hamm's virility meets Viggo Mortensen's tortured sensitive gaze thing going for him, and it's GOOD.

SEE?

Also, he smolders through Mia Wasikowska's Jane like she's a twig or something (she kinda IS a twig, but nevermind that), to the resounding groan of ovaries in the theater, and furtive readjustment of tight crotch areas. He's everything I missed about seeing Aragorn in LotR because I was too young to get him, AND NOW I SO DO.

SEE?!

Michael Fassbender CAN GET IT. At least in movies. :D

Oh, and on a "Jane Eyre" related note, they got Dario Marianelli to do the soundtrack, so it's music just as stunningly beautiful as the music in the 2005 "Pride and Prejudice" (say what you want about that adaptation, the music was FLAWLESS). :)
