1. My summer seems to have at once relaxed and picked up speed. IDEK, you guys. My winterwear suitcase is still wide open in my bedroom because I'm too fucking lazy to sit on it and stash the damn thing deep in my closet. SELF, YOU WILL NOT WEAR BANANA REPUBLIC SWEATERS UNTIL OCTOBER. STASH THEM FFS.

2. I am now incurably addicted to Criminal Minds. Not in the sense of "ooh! where's the fandom?", but more in the sense of "I obsessively check my channel guide every single day to see if there's a marathon somewhere". Yeah. Speaking of which, I have tons of love for the characters, but I don't really see the irl attraction of the actors. MGG is too much of a hipstery beanpole to my tastes, and I've seen enough ONTD posts about Shemar Moore to be certain of his douchtastic self. However, a brief, random foray into Thomas Gibson's twitter revealed his shoe fetish, TO MY UNENDING AMUSEMENT OMG. I had completely forgotten he used to play Greg in Dharma And Greg! HA. The more you know.

3. SPN-wise: So basically every guest actor on SPN goes afterwards to Leverage, huh? LOL. I've just read that next Comic Con, the SPN panel is moving to the infamous Hall H. Oh dear. I've finally watched the season finale a couple weeks ago, mostly nonplussed. Morphing Castiel into a villain is something I expected SPN to do like two seasons ago. I'm actually surprised it took them that long. IDK though, I'm not feeling it anymore. Speaking of not feeling it, if I ever relate to Jared's twitter on my LJ, he'll be called JarJar. Because it fits. My disdain, let me show you it. At some point I'll get over myself and read fics again, though. DOON WONCHOSTOR DEMANDS.

4. I went to see "The Two Towers: Extended Edition" in the theater yesterday! OOOOH YOU GUYS HELM'S DEEP IS STILL SO GOOD. And the love of Legolas and Aragorn will not be contained! Theirs is the love of a rangy, greasy, filthy future king and the pristine elf who tolerates his dirt for the hot sexing. BECAUSE THE SEXING WAS SURELY HOT. Viggo Mortensen, you guys. UNNNNNNFFFFFF. He has never looked as good as he did in the LotR movies and he never will again.

(4.5. I will point out, though, that across from the women's bathrooms in my movie theater complex, there was a lovely poster of Tom Hardy in "Warrior". It's probably a terrible movie, and he's probably horribly resembling a baboon in it, but by god, is that man photogenic. LIPS OMG. MMMMMMMMM.)

(4.75. I blame Jensen Ackles for the lips thing, btw.)

5. Speaking of tall, superiorly cheekboned men with sensitive blue eyes, I am very much into Michael Fassbender still. The trailer for the new Cronenberg movie about Freud, Jung and Spielrein is out, and let me tell you, I will probably see it for Fassbender. Ungh THAT MAN. Why isn't Jane Eyre on dvd sale yet. I NEEDS IT PRECIOUS.

6. Speaking of Fassbender, apparently he and James McAvoy have been trolling the SHIT outta X-Men fandom by constantly inserting homoerotic jokes about their relationship, and then making jokes about inserting things. LOVE IT. I'm not really feeling the need for fanfics yet, but then I didn't feel the need for Arthur/Eames fanfics until about a month after seeing Inception for the third time or so, so who knows.

7. I've also watched all of "My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic". Do with that what you may. :D

SILLY PICSPAM WILL COME SOON, I PROMISE.

I know everyone's talking about the royal wedding today, so blah blah crazy hats Diana they're cute blah blah. THERE. DONE.

I went to see "Jane Eyre" today, and people, it's GOOD. IT'S REALLY REALLY GOOD.

I'm not a big Bronte fan, but I gotta say, this movie was wonderful and delightful to watch, giving the book a frankly interesting twist. It's a helluva lot better than the Zeffirelli version at any rate.

But what has really struck me about this movie is that I finally understand the hype about Michael Fassbender )

Oh, and on a "Jane Eyre" related note, they got Dario Marianelli to do the soundtrack, so it's music just as stunningly beautiful as the music in the 2005 "Pride and Prejudice" (say what you want about that adaptation, the music was FLAWLESS). :)

You know, so many great nominees and Jon Stewart is so adorable and great ("'Atonement', which embodies the sensuality of Yom Kippur...ah, now I see where all the Jews are in the auditorium"), but I forget one thing every time I watch this show.

The Oscars are so damn CHEESY.

God, it's like gooey stuff on your tongue that never goes away, no matter if they did give Diablo Cody the award for her "Juno" screenplay. (Stewart: "You know, Diablo Cody went from being an exotic dancer to screenplay writer. I hope you enjoy the pay cut.")

Also James McAvoy is HOT.

And Cate Blanchett has yet again pulled off a dress no other woman in that place could. And she's pregnant. She could teach some people there a lesson or two. You know, apart from acting, because can you think of anyone else who could pull off Bob Dylan with tits? I don't think so.

Dario Marianelli won! :D I thought he already deserved an Oscar for the "Pride and Prejudice" soundtrack.

And Miley Cyrus? Really? Really? >_<

ETA: Javier Bardem = Jeffrey Dean Morgan. TRU FAX.

Having seen "Becoming Jane" for the second time tonight, as well as a few trailers before, I have drawn the following conclusions:

1. Anne Hathaway really is the new Julia Roberts, albeit a better actress by far, and looks more and more like Liv Tyler. I swear, there were moments in the movie where she actually was ugly the way Liv Tyler can sometimes be. It was uncanny!

2. I am absolutely over Jonathan Rhys Meyers, and "August Rush" looks like one stupid movie to have done.

3. Cate Blanchett is going to be nominated (at the very least) for an Oscar for "Elizabeth: The Golden Age", and I'm saying this without even seeing the movie yet.

4. James McAvoy is the newest addition to the long and dignified tradition of absolutely delectable Scottish actors with beautiful blue eyes and a winning accent. Plus, he's pants-steamingly hot in the movie and I want to have a Tom Lefroy of my very own in my underwear drawer from now on.

5. James Cromwell is awesome.

When is the DVD out?!

Love.

PS: I'm done with my job! HUZZAH! :DDD
