I guess you can call it my yearly review
Dec. 31st, 2009 03:39 am![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
Except that I'm doing it differently this time.
Here are my favourite 25 videos of this past year, in no particular order. :)
1. The Muppets do "Bohemian Rhapsody"
Because Animal is a senstive dude, y'all. :D
2. Supernatural - Fun with Real Audio (part vier) by
maichan808
Because you've always wanted a loving montage of Jensen Ackles' Single Perfect Tear set to Flight of the Concords.
3. Stephen Colbert interviews Neil Gaiman
Because Stephen Colbert has a rare moment of shine for the rabid Tolkienist in him. PURE GEEK GOLD.

4. Hitler was not dazzled by 'Breaking Dawn'
The greatest of many many "Hitler's Downfall" YouTube parodies.
5. The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson's first cold opening with puppets singing
It's Craig Ferguson lip synching reggae with some puppets. How is this NOT awesome?
6. Why I love 'Leverage'
"Bring your ass. Bring your ass!" :D :D :D
7.'Star Wars' retold by someone who's never seen it
I laughed, then I oyga boyga'd.
8. The Baleout Remix!
Not a video, per se. Still hilariously awesome though. :D
9. Radiohead perform "15 Step" with the USC Marching Band on the Grammys
It's STILL my favourite live performance of the year, and I have it on my iPod. It was THAT AWESOME.
10. Jon Stewart interviews Brian Williams...several times
I'm linking here all of the interviews because I think they're all worth watching. Together, Williams and Stewart have a dirty, gay-chicken banter that I lOVE and one day hope they make into a show. YUM.
...which is a segue of sorts to the more serious videos on my list:
11. Secretary of State, Hilary Clinton, defends reproductive rights for all women
This woman is just so kickass!
12. Keira Knightley stars in a particularly disturbing ad about domestic abuse in the UK
I think this is probably one of the best PSAs I've ever seen.
13. The dude from illdoctrine talks about the case of Roman Polanski
He just sums it up so right.
14. Tyce Diorio's routine about a woman battling breast cancer
I cried. Then I cried again.
15. Special Entry: Jon Stewart's opening speech on his first Daily Show after 9/11
bsafemydeers mentioned this first, and I can't help but agree. Since we've also wrapped up a decade now, this is one of the more profound statements made during.
Honorary mention: The AIDS burger scene from 'True Blood'
This is because a) I didn't see True Blood when it first aired, so I couldn't wax enthusiastic about my love for Lafayette, and b) as a segue back into the happy! :)
16. Christopher Walken reads 'Poker Face'
OOH! OOH! OOH OOH OOH AAAAAAAAH!
16.5 Noteworthy performs 'Poker Face'
It's been a good year for Lady Gaga, what can I say.
17. Tori Amos performs 'Welcome to England' on The Late Late Show
As long as we're on the subject of music, check out this badass performance. The drummer is amazing, even if the acoustics are...unfortunate.
18. 'Supernatural (In My Pants)' by
deirdre_c
I might had the (very) initial idea, but Dei is AWESOME and this vid is one of my all-time favourites. :D

19. A Supernatural promo set to Lady Gaga's 'Teeth' by Ignorantsheep
She says it's because she wanted to prove that a SPN vid could be set to a Gaga song. I say this is just as good as any SPN promo ever made, and should be seriously considered for actual usage on the CW. Just saying. :)
20. 'Like A Boss' by
winterevanesce
Possibly the funniest Dean-centric vid ever made. Probably one of the most beloved videos in all SPN fandom.

21. Misha humps Jared from behind onstage during OzCon
Misha just wanted to sign Jared's shirt. Jared just wanted to tie his shoe (YEAH RIGHT). Jensen just wanted to DIE, and so did the fangirls (but for a whole other reason entirely :D). Crowning moment of Misha as SPN fandom's boyfriend. As if the twitter wasn't enough...
22. Bum Reviews does 'New Moon'
Having actually seen New Moon, I can tell you this is as accurate as it is funny.
23. Joel McHale imitates Craig Ferguson on The Late Late Show
SPOT ON HILARITY.
24. 'Threw It On The Ground' by The Lonely Island
I have 5 words for you: MY DAD'S NOT A PHONE!
25. Supernatural's entire series summed in 5 seconds
Because trufax has never been trufaxer.
Hope you enjoyed! :D
